I overhauled this nice 806 and this is part of the break in procedure on the dyno. This is the first hard pull to 115 HP. The tractor has an aftermarket M&W Turbo.

Are the 806D and the 1206 basically the same tractor? I know the 806D was none turbo from the factory. Do both tractors have the same rearend, transmission and final drives? Thanks for any info.
Hi, at rated speed it was running 115 hp. The M&W turbo doesn’t produce much boost, but does clean up the exhaust a little. It is still used regularly on the farm so I left it set at that. Thanks.
As I said, this is part of the break in procedure. I ran it at partial varying load at 3/4 throttle for an hour before giving it hell. If it can’t be put right to work it wasn’t built right!
Thanks.
That would be pretty loud with that straight pipe on there. My 806 smokes a lot more when its working. Thats the first real 806 I have seen on youtube. The rest of the 806’s apear to have a turbo charger. In my books that makes them a 1206.

Looks great and sounds even better. Grandpa bought a new 806 in ‘67, quite a step up from his M and Super M.

I love how you just went up and ripped the throttle, many a red-iron operator is familiar with the motion!!

It’s been years since I’ve been on an 806…a very worn 806. But, that is probably the nicest one I have ever saw.

You should put it on a wheel dyno.
