It is a Farmall 1256. Trust me. Check out my new startup video now that it’s restored.
The tractor is rated at about 110 drawbar hp or so, but i’d guess it has more hp than that.(the vac doesn’t pull down on the tractor much) I haven’t played with the injection pump, but I think the guy who had it before me did.
What are the engine specs of this tractor? It doesent look that big, but by the sound and the size of that grainvac it must be pretty powerful.
Vicsonvee, this is a work-horse. Even though its not a beauty, it’ll keep on going for years. The engine sonds fine!
I just love that sound of chunky turbocharged tractors working hard at high revs, dont you? No mufflers whatsoever, so you can feel the vibrations in your chest. You just gotta love that.
I agree with the bored boys from Iowa. Restore it… it’s a beautiful tractor, and sure it’s rough, but with a little ‘character’ it sure won’t be at pebble beach and live its life on padded blocks, but it’ll be a usable workhorse if needed, and still look good.

That 1256 looks a little rough bud. You should just turn that 1256 in to a stationary power pack (engine).
